Dr. Tirthankar is an experienced and highly accomplished medical professional, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of General Medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences since June 2023. With a wealth of expertise spanning over several years, Dr. Tirthankar has made significant contributions to the field of medicine and medical education.


Previously, Dr. Tirthankar held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of General Medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences from 2010 to 2023. During this time, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and a passion for teaching, nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.


Prior to his tenure as an Associate Professor, Dr. Tirthankar served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences from 2010 to 2018. In this role, he played a pivotal role in shaping the academic curriculum and providing valuable guidance to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.


Dr. Tirthankar's commitment to medical education extends beyond the classroom. He has served as a Post Graduate teacher and thesis guide, mentoring students in their research endeavors and supporting them in their academic pursuits. Additionally, Dr. Tirthankar has served as a university examiner, lending his expertise to evaluate the knowledge and skills of aspiring medical professionals in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.


Throughout his career, Dr. Tirthankar has earned a reputation for his expertise in the field of general medicine, consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of medical conditions and providing comprehensive patient care. His extensive clinical experience as a Senior Resident in the Department of General Medicine at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences from 2008 to 2010 has honed his diagnostic skills and enriched his medical knowledge.
